Experience
I qualified from The University of Ulster as a Chartered
Physiotherapist in 1978.
Post qualification, I worked in the Royal Victoria
Hospital for 3 years and then a further 7 years in Musgrave Park
Hospital prior to setting up in private practice in 1987.
Since then, I have built a busy and diverse physiotherapy
practice specialising in a wide variety of treatments.
My special interests are the treatment of musculo
skeletal disorders, including sports injuries and occupational health.
I have treated individuals from new-born through to
the very elderly, where injury levels have varied from minor to
major trauma. Treatment and advice has been given to elite/representative
athletes in the fields of rugby, gaelic, football, hockey, tennis,
squash, rowing, swimming and athletics. I have been involved in
the full rehabilitation of these sports-people.
I also hold contracts with a number of corporate companies,
providing physiotherapy services as a member of their occupational
health team. This includes treatment of staff, advice regarding
healthcare in the workplace, best ergonomic practice and workplace
and risk assessment.
